Spooky Season at Hotel Landy
There’s no doubt about it, spooky season in Orlando is frighteningly fun. It’s a boisterous send-off of the golden autumn months before we slip into the holiday season. Rather than go gently into the embrace of paper snowflakes and Hallmark movies, scream into the darkness and get your heart pounding with the thrills and chills of All Hallow’s Eve. Located next to the home of horror, Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights, and in the midst of all countless world-class attractions, Hotel Landy is the perfect place for a fall adventure like no other.
Theme Park Fun
The star of the show – Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights — is world-renowned. Not recommended for children under the age of 13, Halloween Horror Nights is home to ten haunted houses that are certain to terrify and torment in equal measure. Four of these haunted houses, A Quiet Place, Insidious: The Further, Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines, and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, are inspired by some of the biggest spooky movies of all time, while just reading names like Slaughter Sinema 2, The Museum: Deadly Exhibits, and Triplets of Terror is enough to make a tingle run down your spine (or was that a ghostly finger?).
It’s no trick that we’re a proud Universal Partner Hotel. When you plan your trip to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, or Volcano Bay with us, you get to skip the lines and save some time with your advance ticket purchase and get to take our complimentary shuttle service to and from the parks. That means more time to squeeze more fright into your night!
If you are traveling with kids under 13, perhaps attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom is for you! Stroll the streets as you trick-or-treat around the park, watch the famous fireworks, and catch a glimpse of your child’s favorite characters. All the fun with no scary bits, this is the perfect way to make sure everyone gets to celebrate together. And, of course, be sure to take a journey through The Haunted Mansion!
Festive Local Favorites
Halloween is celebrated for two whole weeks at Orlando’s annual Halloween Experience. Starting October 18, this downtown spooktacular is an outdoor, family-friendly festival with an animated light show projected on City Hall, a hay maze, Halloween-themed photo ops, a kooky display, and more. If you want to hang with the locals, this is the place to be.
What does a rhinoceros dress as for Halloween? You’ll have to tell us when you find out for yourself at Central Florida Zoo’s Zoo Boo Bash! Over three consecutive weekends, the whole family is encouraged to dress up and show off their costumes while trick-or-treating, dancing, playing in inflatables, and interacting with staff. The animals love to see the costumes, so be sure to do a twirl when you get to each exhibit.
Searching for the one place on Earth you can find hip-hop aliens, the Mad Hatter, giant plants, live music, and a Dia de Muertos celebration all at the same time? Make your way to Harry P. Leu Gardens’ Fright Night, of course! This immersive experience has been completely reimagined for 2024 and takes you through multiple worlds of fun and wonder. Trick-or-Treat your way through the night; this event is appropriate for all ages.
Seasonal, Not Scary
For a break from all things Halloween that’s still festive, check out the 1st Annual Roctoberfest, where rock music and Oktoberfest mesh into two days of music and culture. Here, you can indulge in craft beer and authentic German cuisine, shop from local makers, and rock out to musical tributes to Poison, Metallica, and more!
The annual Winter Park Wine & Dine: Fall Edition offers you an evening of sophistication with unlimited tastings from over 40 food, wine, and dessert vendors. Hosted at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market, you can even treat yourself to a VIP ticket for extra special perks.
Hotel Landy is All Treats, and That’s no Trick
One of the best parts of Halloween is arriving back home with your bag of goodies and recapping the night with your loved ones while sharing in the spoils. While you’re in Orlando, we take great pride in being your home away from home and welcome you in, ghouls and all! This fall, explore Orlando, knowing you’re getting the best deal — or treat — with our Park & Play package, which includes a vibrant two-night stay, a meal credit, parking and shuttle, perfect for recharging after a day of adventure.
